Cristina Catalina Ortega is an Environmental Engineer from the University of Valladolid and holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of León. During her more than 11 years dedicated to the world of R&D, she has completed her professional training in project management through the PMP (Project Management Professional) international certification of the PMI (Project Management Institute) with a master’s degree in project management from the EAE Business School – Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
She is specialised in the development of large-scale projects with national and international companies and entities (public and private sector) in the areas of transport, environment, education and energy. At the consortium level, creating strategic working groups, controlling and managing budgets and ensuring compliance with the established planning. At the technical level, supporting the crucial step of transforming the project idea into the backbone of the project by collaborating and supporting strategic decision making. She has participated in more than 80 R&D projects with a return of more than 48 million euros in European funding. Expert in LIFE, CEF transport and H2020 programmes.
