What role does Zabala play in its work with EU Platforms and initiatives?

  • Full coordination of the Initiatives and the daily activities of the platform, including the management of several expert Working groups and Task Forces

  • Why is the EU supporting Technology and Innovation platforms, partnerships or similar RD&I initiatives?

    The EC is seeking to have organised processes to facilitate the gathering of RD&I experts view from strategic technology areas, several types of initiative exist such as partnerships and platforms. These gather experts from across Europe which role is to provide unbiased and balance views on RD&I priorities in their sector and where EU funding budget should be oriented towards.

  • Is the participation to a platform or partnership costly?

    It depends, if the platform management is managed through an EU funded project or contract, you can usually become expert member for free, you will be expected to contribute with your expertise. If a platform has an independent functioning structure you might have to apply for membership.

  • Why getting involved in such initiative can be useful for my organisation?

    It will help you develop your network of contacts with peers active in RD&I, you can influence also the drafting of future Horizon Europe work programmes by prioritising better RD&I research bringing your expertise.

  • Which support ZABALA can offer to its clients in this field?
