Lisbon OfficeMariana Sousa is a Civil Engineer specialised in Geotechnical Engineering, with Bachelor and Master degrees from the Instituto Superior Técnico of Portugal. She has several years of experience in civil engineering, having worked as a site and design engineer in Portuguese and Brazilian companies. Mariana has participated in several large-scale national and international projects, where she has developed her skills in planning, design, review, and supervision of projects. Regarding her consulting experience, prior to Zabala Innovation, she worked as a renewable energy consultant, enhancing her knowledge in energy, national tenders, licensing procedures, site acquisition and proposal preparation.
Mariana currently works in the European Projects department as an R&D&I consultant, advising companies in the development and implementation of innovative projects, by conducting research, analysing trends, identifying funding opportunities, writing proposals, and providing expert advice in areas such as intellectual property and regulation.
