Bilbao OfficeIrene Pelegrín Carballo holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Deusto and Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada). At the end of her undergraduate studies, she specialised in international law and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Deusto, deepening her knowledge in this field and specialising in private international law. She also holds a second Master’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability from CMI Business School.
She has focused her academic and professional career on sustainability in the private sector. Before working at Zabala Innovation, she worked as a Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility consultant developing business sustainability strategies and training tasks in this field. It is worth mentioning that she obtained a degree in Sustainable Internalisation from ICEX.
Currently, she is part of the Social Innovation department at Zabala Innovation, working on co-creation tasks, stakeholder engagement, analysis and measurement of social impact in various European projects such as SENATOR, ZDZW or BIO-FLEXGEN. In the field of funding, she is responsible for the European call AMIF (European Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration).
