Germán Zango

Germán Zango holds a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, as well as a Master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. He also worked as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. His main research areas during his more than 10 years of scientific research include the design and development of materials with applications in photovoltaics, new advanced materials, and nanorobots, as well as several collaborations with European and global universities and research centres.
He works at Zabala Innovation as R&D&I Consultant in the European Projects business unit, where he has participated in the preparation and management of collaborative projects for universities and technology centres, small, medium and large companies, and public administrations, within the strategic sectors of energy, environment, mobility, industry and social challenges.
Currently, he is the leader of Zabala Innovation’s Science & Education Knowledge Area and co-responsible for the European calls for proposals under Pillar 1 of the Horizon Europe programme.
