Brussels OfficeGabriele Gaffuri holds a MSc with honours in International Relations – Forecasting, Innovation and Change (University of Bologna) and a Bachelor’s with honours in International and European Studies (University of Milan). Before joining Zabala Innovation Europe, previous experiences in Brussels include a professional post-grad Master as EU Policy Advisor and Project Consultant (UCL/CCIB). Moreover, he also studied in France and in the USA, during the staying on the Environment, Ecology and Energy Program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019, where he focused on environmental sciences and politics, circular economy and renewable energy topics. Gabriele is also knowledgeable about biotech start-ups, following a research period on waste bioconversion and insect farming resulted in a first-of-a-kind market analysis of the sector.
From the Brussels office, atop of proposal writing, consulting and H2020 project management, Gabriele also manages the European Innovation & Technology Platform on Batteries (“Batteries Europe”), the ETIP established by DG ENER under the coordination of EIT InnoEnergy.
Fluent in English, Italian and French. Spanish is on the way.
