The IMMERSE project will identify key stakeholders in the social and educational integration of migrant children. Its main objective is to define a new integrated methodology to generate and monitor quantitative and qualitative data and develop a set of recommendations on the integration of refugees and migrant children in Europe.
The main challenge lies in designing and defining a new integrated methodology to generate and monitor quantitative and qualitative data; and to develop a set of recommendations on the integration of refugees and migrant children in Europe.
IMMERSE will engage children and stakeholders to identify key parameters related to intercultural competencies, well-being and actions affecting children’s integration. It will also co-create a new dashboard of social, educational and integration indicators. In addition, a database and application will be developed within the project, which will collect and monitor data in six European countries.
The success of this data analysis will generate a representative picture of Europe’s reality on the integration of refugee and migrant children, which will lead the consortium to develop policy documents with specific recommendations, addressed to policy makers and educational institutions to foster diverse inclusive societies.
This project has been financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under grant agreement No. 822536.
