4YFN
Zabala Innovation will present four projects at the 4YFN conference
Zabala innovation will participate to the 4YFN conference in Barcelona, a major event dedicated to start-ups and the mobile industry, representing four EU projects: Dapsi, DMS, DigiFed and Media Futures.
Taking place at Fira Gran Via from 28th June to 1st July 2021, Barcelona will welcome start-ups from all over the world through the 4YFN (Four Years From Now) conference. Its goal is to support start-ups, investors and companies to connect and launch new business ventures together.
4YFN 2021, will be in the heart of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona for the first time this year. Combining these two influential events recognises the critical role start-ups play in fulfilling the potential of mobile technology. This move will foster broader networking for all attendees to one of the world’s largest connectivity events.
At the core of 4YFN 2021 will be keynotes by influencers and pioneers, discussions among top experts of the industry – as well as insightful start-up pitches. As experts in Cascade Funding, several ZABALA co-workers, as well as partnering organisations, will attend this first major face to face event in the start-up / mobile sector since the beginning of the pandemic, representing four EU cascade funding projects dedicated to helping SMEs and start-ups achieve their potential and grow their network. They are:
· DAPSI: The NGI Data Portability and Services Incubator (DAPSI) empowers internet innovators to develop human-centric solutions in the Data Portability field. DAPSI’s objective is to make it significantly easier for citizens to transfer their data from one service provider to another in a simpler and more direct way, in line with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation. DAPSI will be represented by start-ups: Trace Labs – core developers of OriginTrail (Prospeh d.o.o.), and Visions.
· DigiFed: Effective cross-border collaborations are increasingly important to ensure that European startups, SMEs and midcaps can benefit from world-class product support and service innovation and remain at their competitive edge on a global market. DigiFed implements a business plan for the sustainability of the federation of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) while fostering the adoption of advanced digital technologies by EU SMEs, focusing on non-digital businesses to encourage the introduction of digital technologies into their product and service offers. DigiFed will be represented by Minalogic and CYSEC.
· DMS: Data Market Services’ main objective is to transform the European entrepreneurship ecosystem to overcome the barriers on the way for SMEs and data start-ups to achieve market success. DMS will be there with Infinite Foundry and Whenwhyhow.
· Media Futures: This project seeks to create a European data-driven innovation centre that brings together entrepreneurs, artists and other stakeholders in the media value chain to develop a programme that expands on the usual models, and thus find new ways for people to engage in quality journalism, scientific education and democratic processes. Meet Archival Consciousness and Suru Together from Media Futures at the event.
With more than 400 startups exhibiting and 200 startup pitches on stage, the event will be a great opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in the mobile sphere and network with hundreds of companies from across the globe with representatives from all facets of the tech industry.
