CASCADE FUNDING CALL
ZDMP’s second call is open to help factories reach zero defects goal
The European project Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform (ZDMP) has 2.2 million euros to guarantee the quality of products and production without defects. Aimed at software developers, technology companies and manufacturers, it will be open until October 1
After the success of the first call of the Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform (ZDMP) project in June 2021 where over 1 million euros were awarded to 10 projects, the second call arrives. This cascade funding project, managed by our client IKERLAN, has in this new call 2.2 million euros of financing available until October 1. It aims to guarantee the quality of products and production with zero defects.
What can you achieve by applying to the ZDMP?
Aimed at software developers, technology companies and industry 4.0 manufacturers, ZDMP offers applicants the following:
- Funding of between 50,000 and 150,000 euros for each project.
- The freedom to exploit the results of the project in the company (with some restrictions). It should be noted that the ZDMP does not participate in the capital.
- Between 15 and 20 SMEs/start-ups will be chosen to share the total grant pool of 2.2 million euros of this second call.
- The opportunity to develop networking activities with companies in the field of Industry 4.0.
- Access to a new sales channel through the ZDMP Marketplace.
- Support throughout the application process.
Projects can be carried out virtually, so companies can participate from anywhere in the European Union, the UK and partner countries. Applications are welcome from tech SMEs and manufacturers, and can be individual proposals or consortia from two organisations (although always led by an SME). Applicants are asked to submit proposals for subprojects in the following three areas:
Development
Subprojects for the development of applications, components and services of digital manufacturing at design/execution time; new AI/machine learning solutions and new algorithms; development/extension of ZDMP applications and services to new domains.
Integration
Subprojects to enhance the ZDMP ecosystem by integrating existing third-party applications, components and/or platforms, or integrating ZDMP applications or components with third-party processes in new domains.
Validation
Subprojects for the functional validation of scenarios and techniques and/or testing of application performance or usability (zApps) and ZDMP components in “real world” manufacturing contexts.
If this funding opportunity interests you and you think your project may fit, you can submit your application here.
