All projects will be promoted at the Startup Olé event from 26 to 28 March in Salamanca, you can find us at booth 6 to get the necessary information from each of them.

Information about the Open Call

BLOCKCHERS

Today, March 26th, the applications for the Open Call of the BLOCKCHERS project will be open until May 27th.

SMEs from all over Europe working with blockchain technologies can apply to participate in this funding programme by visiting the Blockchers website.

This accelerator, for SMEs working with blockchain technologies, will administer a fund of €750,000 in two calls to finance cases of use of blockchain technologies in traditional sectors. The selected SMEs will pass to the implementation phase (proposal, launch and use) in which, throughout two phases, they will receive funding for their project and, in addition, will receive other free services. A selected company could obtain up to €50,000 in non-refundable funding.

One of the main objectives of this project is to foster collaboration between traditional SMEs and potential DLT specialists, as technology providers, and to foster knowledge about the benefits and opportunities of these technologies.

IRSUS

The applications for the call of the IRSUS project will be open until March 31st.

All European start-ups with previous experience in the H2020 Framework Programme or FP7 (including the cascade grants and the SME Facility) may apply for participation in the grant programme using this Google form.

IRSUS makes available to the selected start-ups a pan-European network of experts who will provide free support and advice on fundraising, business skills development, promotion and access to high-level networks. This will help them reach the market in the best possible conditions.

EDI

Until June 19th, European companies will be able to present their participation in the programme and thus be able to boost their products and business services thanks to the opportunities offered by the EUROPEAN DATA INCUBATOR (EDI).

The EDI project, financed by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 program, has a fund of 5 million euros to support SMEs and start-ups oriented to Big Data technologies. It is a great opportunity for entrepreneurship, as it provides companies with a large technological infrastructure, data and non-refundable funding.

Each team selected could obtain up to 100,000 euros of non-refundable financing. After applying for the call, an evaluation process will be established, in which up to 50 teams will be selected and invited to an event in Berlin within the first acceleration phase called “Explore”.

The 17 best teams will move on to the second phase of “Experiment” where they will develop a business plan, a minimum viable product, and will be evaluated at different milestones.

Finally, the top seven will culminate in the “Evolve” phase, which is very much geared towards promoting investment in the selected teams. For each phase there are some amounts committed: 5,000 euros for each of the first 50 teams, 80,000 additional for each of the 17 chosen for the second phase, and 15,000 euros for each of the 7 finalists.

DATA MARKET SERVICES

This project to support emerging companies in the data market will be open until May 26th.

Data Market Services has been funded by the European Union’s Research and Innovation programme HORIZON 2020. Its main objective is to transform the European ecosystem of entrepreneurship to overcome the barriers in the way that SMEs and start-ups specializing in data, have to achieve success in the market.

The project will explore and engage with SMEs and start-ups that are in the data market. To support participants, it will offer 12 free services in 5 categories (investment, acceleration, legal training, standardisation and data skills), and build a portfolio of over 2,000 candidates with the 150 European companies with the most potential. This selection will be made in 3 different calls from 2019 to 2021.
