Blue Economy Window call just launched
The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund launches a new call to support the sustainable development of the blue economy SMEs across the European Union. Under the Blue Economy Window call, the SMEs can apply as single entities or consortia. The overall budget is €22.5 million.
Under the 2019 call, organisations can get between €700,000 and €2,500,000 for their projects. Any for-profit SME based in the EU (single participant or a member of a consortium) can apply. The deadline of the call is 27 Februrary 2020.
Grants supported under the Blue Economy SME Window call for proposals 2019 will address the challenge of developing and bringing to market new products, services, and business models for SMEs that could ultimately create profitable activities.
This will be part of a new comprehensive service package offered by the ‘BlueInvest platform’ that supports investment readiness and access to finance for early-stage businesses, SMEs and scale-ups in the blue economy. Hence the branding of the grants as ‘BlueInvest Grants’.
The Executive Agency for SMEs organised an information day about this call on Monday 25 November. The event was webstreamed. The recording is available online now.
